Monetti was founded in 1957. Benefitting from the period of considerable growth in the catering industry at the end of the 1950's, the company began manufacturing trays. Constant efforts to provide innovative solutions led Monetti S.p.A. to create a range of trays which continues to be the widest and most complete in terms of technology, shapes, sizes and colours on today's market.
The MELFORM brand was created in the early 1980's, and the products of Monetti S.p.A. are still marketed under this brand name today.
The company's incessant effort, aimed at fully satisfying customers with prime quality products, giving priority to safety and hygiene, led Monetti S.p.A. to specialise in temperature control and, in 1981, the Thermax range of isothermal containers was born. 
Over the years, the quality of Melform products has been rewarded with the most authoritative certifications for safety and reliability in the catering industry, as well as prestigious awards for industrial design.
In 2002, after 45 years of activity, in order to offer high quality services aimed at satisfying the demands of an increasingly diverse market, Monetti S.p.A. structured its organization into four business units: Foodservice, Isothermal Containers, PFS - Healthcare and Logistics.
Certified ISO 9001: 2000 , Monetti S.p.A. offers the international market a complete and articulated product line, strengthened by an in-house staff currently made up of 75 employees and a sales network comprising two foreign branches in France and Spain, importers in Great Britain, Germany, Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Denmark and Greece, and dealers all over the world.
