The association "Rotational Design Italian Firms" (AISR) was established in 1994 through the collaboration among typographers, machine suppliers , equipments, raw materials and accessories of the sector.

Since January 2007 The Italian Firms Rotational Design Product Group, called AISR, has been established within the Rubber Plastic Federation. 

AISR works on the Italian territory by means of a set of promoting, researching and planning initiatives related to rotational design.

AISR performs its activity by managing and organising:

- meetings and forums related to themes concerning rotational design

- training seminars addressed to operators under the rotational sector

- ideas contests and training courses for students of specialised institutes on industrial design

- specific researchers on issues related to rotational design process with the collaboration of the Universities and specialised institutions.
